I first tried this recipe for Orange Dark Chocolate Chip Gluten Free Scones last Thanksgiving. I have made them a couple of times since then and really love the flavor. They are especially good when they are warm and the chocolate chips are gooey!
I have deviated from the recipe by using chocolate chips instead of chucks and I use Orange Flavoring vs Orange Zest (didn’t have any oranges, so just used a couple teaspoons of orange flavoring). I also use honey instead of the agave nectar.
As you can see from my pictures, I’m not very good in cutting these in equal size wedges. Fortunately that doesn’t change the yummy flavor! Veggie Hubby loves these.
