When I met my husband over 20 years ago, I had no idea at the time he was about to set off and become a vegetarian. His evolution into a vegetarian didn’t happen overnight. He began by giving up red meat shortly after we met. Then three months after we were married he gave up meat altogether.
This blog will be about sharing my experiences as a meat eater, caring for my vegetarian husband. It’ll be lessons in cooking and dining compromises. I’ve had two decades to get used to being married to a vegetarian. I’ve learned basic survival skills, like how to cook for a vegetarian when I’m not one, and how to find vegetarian restaurants locally and when we travel.
My husband and I have lived in North Carolina, California and Colorado over the last 20 years. I also travel extensively with my job, so I will be sharing restaurants I’ve discovered all over the US that will please both a vegetarian and a meat eater.
Many interesting and funny stories have cropped up over the years about a vegetarian and meat eater sharing a life together. Thank you for stopping by, and be sure to come back soon and read more.
